When can I download MIN?
MIN for Android is available now. Get it on Google Play and start exploring for free. The iPhone version is coming soon.
Does MIN translate the meaning of my name?
MIN suggests local spellings that follow the sound of your name. It does not replace your name with an unrelated cultural equivalent or translate its meaning. Start with an English or Latin-letter name and adjust the pronunciation if needed.
Are the spellings and pronunciations guaranteed?
They are suggestions for exploration. Names can have several pronunciations, and some languages cannot reproduce every source sound. You can edit and save a spelling yourself. Ask a fluent speaker to review a result before using it for anything permanent or official.
Does every language have a voice?
The app supports 35 name-result languages. Playback uses compatible offline voices installed on your device. Downloading missing voice packs may need internet access. MIN disables unavailable voices and does not substitute an English voice for a missing language.
Can I use MIN offline?
Name suggestions, saved names, artwork previews, and installed offline voices work on your device. Voice input is available only when Android’s on-device recognizer is available. Purchases and paid export verification need internet access; a recent signed verification works offline for up to 24 hours.
Is MIN free?
MIN is a free download with name exploration, available offline voices, saved names, and artwork previews included. Saving and sharing artwork uses an optional one-time unlock with a US$1.99 base price. Local prices and taxes vary; Google Play shows your price before purchase. No subscription.
What happens to my name and voice?
Names and pronunciation preferences stay on your device. MIN uses offline speech only and does not send or save microphone audio. Voice input is disabled where on-device recognition is unavailable. The purchase-verification service receives Google Play receipt information, not your names, card content, or speech. Read the MIN privacy policy.
