1. About this policy

This policy explains how OG STUDIO (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information associated with the Android app Orbly - Super Focus Timer (“Orbly”), related support, and this privacy-policy page.

Orbly is a focus and break timer with an optional floating countdown. It does not require registration or an OG STUDIO account. It does not collect or transmit your task text or timer activity to us, track your activity in other apps, or include advertising or analytics SDKs.

2. Information stored on your device

Orbly stores information in app-private storage to provide and remember the features you use. This includes:

• Timer settings, countdown state, and focus or break preferences.
• Task text or names you enter.
• Appearance, sound, and spoken-nudge preferences.
• The floating timer’s size and position.
• The current day’s completed focus-session count.

We do not receive this information through the app, and Orbly does not provide cloud synchronization. The app disables Android cloud backup and excludes its app data from configured device transfers. Device manufacturers may apply their own operating-system behavior and policies.

3. Permissions and background operation

Display over other apps

If you enable this optional permission, Orbly displays a small floating timer over other apps. It does not use the permission to read their content, capture the screen, or record what you type in other apps. You can turn this permission off in Android settings and continue using the timer in the main app.

Timer notifications and foreground service

A user-started foreground service keeps the timer available while you use other apps and provides notification controls. Notification permission allows Orbly to display its timer and completion notifications. Vibration supports timer alerts. These features do not monitor your use of other apps.

Exact alarms and brief wake locks

Exact-alarm access schedules the timer’s completion alert, including when the screen is off. A brief partial wake lock supports alarm delivery and sound playback; it is not held throughout the countdown.

Orbly does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, or shared files. It does not use an accessibility service, screen recording, or an advertising identifier. You can manage available permissions and notifications in your device settings; disabling a permission may limit the related feature.

4. Optional spoken nudges

When you enable spoken nudges, Orbly supplies the text to be spoken to the text-to-speech engine installed on your device. Orbly selects a voice that the engine identifies as not requiring a network connection. If a suitable offline voice is unavailable, Orbly does not use a network voice as a fallback.

The speech engine is provided by your device manufacturer or another vendor, and its operation is subject to that provider’s settings and privacy policy. Orbly does not record your voice or use the microphone. You can disable spoken nudges in Orbly.

5. Google Play purchases and diagnostics

Google Play handles app purchases, payments, downloads, updates, and refunds under Google’s policies. Orbly does not collect your payment-card number or banking credentials. We may receive order and sales information made available through Google Play, such as order identifiers, purchase or refund status, amounts, and country information. We use these records for purchase support, business administration, and accounting or legal obligations.

Google Play and your operating system may independently collect installation, device, crash, or performance information under their own policies and your settings. We may use reports they make available to identify problems and improve reliability. This is separate from in-app analytics; Orbly does not contain its own analytics or crash-reporting SDK.

6. Support messages and information sharing

If you email us, we receive your email address, the name shown by your email service, your message, and any attachments you choose to send. You may also provide device details, screenshots, or an order identifier. We use this information to answer your request, troubleshoot issues, and handle related purchase or privacy inquiries.

Our email and other service providers process information as needed to deliver these services. We may disclose relevant information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, address security issues, or protect legal rights. We do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising.

Please avoid sending passwords, complete payment-card details, or sensitive task text. If you send a screenshot, check what is visible before sharing it.

7. This website and external links

Opening a website or contacting support uses your browser or email app, even though Orbly itself has no internet permission. Those services operate under their own privacy policies.

When you visit this page, our hosting provider processes technical request information, such as your IP address, requested page, browser information, and request time, to deliver and protect the website. This page does not include advertising, analytics scripts, tracking pixels, or third-party fonts, and it does not set cookies. Your optional color-theme choice is saved in your browser’s local storage. Clear ogstudioapps.com site data in your browser to remove that preference.

8. Retention, deletion, and your choices

On-device information. Orbly retains local settings and task information until you change or remove them, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall the app. To remove all local app data, open Android Settings → Apps → Orbly → Storage and choose Clear data or Clear storage. Wording varies by device. Uninstalling also removes local app data, subject to your device’s operating-system behavior. We cannot remotely access or erase data stored only on your device. There is no Orbly account to delete.

Support and business records. We retain support correspondence only as long as reasonably needed to resolve requests, provide related follow-up, address disputes or security matters, or meet legal obligations. Purchase and accounting records are retained for the periods needed for those purposes and applicable law. Information is deleted or de-identified when it is no longer needed. Hosting records are retained as needed for website operation, security, and applicable obligations. Independent services such as Google Play apply their own retention policies.

Privacy requests. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information held by us, email support@ogstudioapps.com. Depending on your location, you may have additional privacy rights under applicable law. We may need information sufficient to verify your request, and we will explain if we must retain particular records for a legal reason.

9. Security

Local app information is stored in app-private storage managed by Android. Orbly does not send that information to an OG STUDIO server. This policy is published at an HTTPS address. Support and purchase information is handled for the purposes described above, with access limited to those who need it to provide support or administer the service. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

10. Children’s privacy

Orbly does not collect personal information through the app or require an account, regardless of the user’s age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through support or other direct communications. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Orbly or its information practices change. We will post the revised policy at this address and update the date above. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by applicable law.
